Employment
Skills for JobsWelcome to EOA
EOA offers both direct project delivery and consultancy. Having been
a highly successful local regeneration agency EOA now operates across
the UK and in Europe. Skills for Jobs
The Skills for Jobs project offers training and support to unemployed and workless people in order to help them find jobs. The project runs to July 2009 and is funded by the Learning and Skills Council. The project is designed around the needs of the individual, as EOA recognises that everyone is different. Support will continue after employment starts, with a surviving employment course and mentoring.
Skills for Jobs is delivered by a partnership of four voluntary organisations led by EOA. The other partners are RESTORE, Milton Keynes Mind, and Refugee Resource, providing specialist support for refugees and people with mental heath problems.

The partnership approach
The Skills for Jobs is an
example of EOA's partnership working approach. EOA is committed to
partnership working with other voluntary organisations, as it allows us
to maximise the benefits we offer those we work for. Each partner
brings different expertise and support for the client. And each partner
can reach out to different disadvantaged communities. Another recent
partnership projects include Stepladders - a training programme for
people with mental health problems.EOA is the lead in the Thames Valley Provider Partnership - a group of mostly voluntary organisations working in Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, which look at ways to work together.
